A big thanks to all who came to Pints With Purpose last night! On the whole, a great evening of awareness- and fund-raising, with over $1000 raised. Updated plans before my departure on May 4th now include a promotional day at Runner's Choice on Princess St. Al Cantley and Choice have generously donated their storefront to the cause, and on the 30th of the month I will seize the opportunity to ride a spin bike in the front window to raise awareness for Prevention Through Empowerment. Passersby will have the opportunity to make donations, as well as to enter a draw for various prizes provided by local business. Pictured with me above are Karen Yates (left) and Jenn Carpenter, two local physicians who work with Prevention Through Empowerment both locally and in Tanzania.
